On Cable modem - tried my default gateway numbers and all possibles - want to use this here at home - how do I configure it for cable internet

Running P4 512MB and XP home
Have IE running on my cable internet - want to use Phoenix
all info I can get on cable is default gateway - subnet mask and my IP
How do I set up Phoenix to reach the internet as all it does is tell me unable
to connect
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Entered CABLE IP numbers and gateway in preferences
2.Tried to connect to Internet
3.
Actual Results:
Denied access to any webapge anywhere - unable to connect
Expected Results:
connect to website
This is no blocking Phoenix bug but just a question on how to configure Phoenix
- hence I will mark this bug as "invalid".
