i don't think it was this way right after i installed, but...
i looked at my start menu the other day, and internet explorer was my default
browser. i thought i had set the default browser to be mozilla. i went to the
start menu properties to change the browser back to mozilla, and mozilla wan't
an option. my options were:
1) Internet Explorer
2) $ProductNameInternal$
3) MSN Explorer
i selected $ProductNameInternal$, and now the mozilla icon is in the start menu
with the text $ProductNameInternal$ next to it, but at least when i select that
option, mozilla launches.

Can you reproduce this in a current build?
Resolving as dup of bug 182195. This is a rather striking bug and hasn't been
reported in builds much later than the fix.
When you install a new build, make sure you follow the installation notes.
Please reopen or add comment if you still see the bug in new builds.
