User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 When I bring up Mozilla for the first time (after a fresh boot), and go to any web site, there is a 40 second delay before it actually brings up the stite. After that, I can go to any site, and it works just fine. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Reboot computer 2. Bring up Mozilla and go to any site. Actual Results: I got a 40 second delay Expected Results: Went to the site immediately. Perhaps with a small delay, but 40 second is way too long.
The speed problem seems to happen when the status bar reads "resolving ..." (where ... is whatever the site is).

This seems to be a display issue. I find when it is taking a long time to display a site, if I minimize the browser and bring it back up, the site will appear immediately. It also happens if I bring up some other window over top of the browser, then minimize that window.
I have also determined that this seems to happen when I have my home page set to a local file. With it set to a file on my C: drive, it pops right up, then when I try to go to a web site somewhere, it takes 40 seconds or so. I've changed my Home page to be a page on the Internet, and it now pops right up, and when I got to any other web site it pops right up. so, it seems to be related to going from a local page to going to a page on the Internet.
Hi Jesse. Are you still experiencing this problem with Mozilla taking a long time to load the first site you visit? It's been about 7 months since you filed the bug, and it might be fixed in recent builds. Any new information would be greatly appreciated.
I am now running Mozilla 1.4, and don't seem to be having this problem any more.
Thanks for the update. I'm going to mark this WORKSFORME, feel free to reopen it if the problem appears again.
