When reporting an issue, the Desktop Test Engineering team would like to be able to fill out the QA Whiteboard field as well in the creation form. This is currently not possible on bug creation, as that field can only be set after the bug is created — we're not sure if this is by design, or an issue.

Currently we display the QA whiteboard only on a per-product basis. Such as Firefox, it is displayed for the new bug entry page but maybe not on the product you are trying to submit for. What is the product(s) that you would like to see the QA whiteboard displayed?

Hi David! I did a poor job of explaining what the issue is, sorry about that.

We're seeing the field on bug creation, but my team told me that the string they add in it during bug creation is not saved, and they have to edit the bug afterwards to add the string again.
