User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:135.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/135.0

Steps to reproduce:

Tried using Microsoft Teams

Got "The gmpopenh264 plugin has crashed" popup

followed link in that Firefox interface element

Actual results:

entered a dead help page at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/send-plugin-crash-reports-help-improve-firefox?as=u&utm_source=inproduct&redirectslug=Plugin+crash+reports&redirectlocale=en-US

This article is no longer maintained, so its content might be out of date.

Expected results:

help directly linked from maintained software is maintained

The link you provided works fine for me, loading https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/send-plugin-crash-reports-help-improve-firefox

What are you getting instead?

Flags: needinfo?(matkoniecz)

Page with "This article is no longer maintained, so its content might be out of date." banner

Are you not getting this banner?

I see x mark, so maybe you hid this warning? Do you see it in a private window or on otherwise fresh computer?

We have a different concept of "dead page". Moving to SUMO for triage.

Component: Untriaged → Knowledge Base Content
Product: Firefox → support.mozilla.org
Summary: "The gmpopenh264 plugin has crashed" has link to dead help page → "The gmpopenh264 plugin has crashed" has link to page marked as not maintained
Version: Firefox 135 → unspecified

sorry for being confusing then!

BTW, I can volunteer to deleting no longer relevant flash plugin info from that page, if I will get editing rights.

I can also make a patch if there is a real chance it would be processed.

I un-archived the https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/send-plugin-crash-reports-help-improve-firefox/ article for now. You can sign in/sign up to Mozilla Support to edit the page and delete no longer relevant flash plugin content and it will be reviewed.
