Steps to reproduce
- Go to Secret Settings and toggle on "enable Compose Homepage".
- Go to Settings > Customize > Select the Light theme.
- Go to Settings > Homepage > Wallpapers and select any of the following wallpapers: Independent Voices collection (Lava Activist (Blue), Lava Dreamer (Purple), Lava Expressionist (Red-Yellow), Lava Playmaker (Red), Lava Visionary (Green).
- Return to the homepage and observe the "Firefox Nightly" text displayed near the Logo (upper left corner).
Expected behavior
The app name color follows the wallpaper's card colors (Colors for the light/dark colors can be found in this figma.
Actual behavior
Depending on the selected theme (Light/Dark), the app name has the incorrect color with certain wallpapers applied (white instead of black/black instead of white):
- Dark theme: Classic wallpapers (Amethyst, Cerulean, Sunrise, Beach Vibes, Twilight Hills), Independent Voices collection (Lava Expressionist (Yellow))
- Light theme: Independent Voices collection (Lava Activist (Blue), Lava Dreamer (Purple), Lava Expressionist (Red-Yellow), Lava Playmaker (Red), Lava Visionary (Green))
Device information
- Firefox version: Nightly 137.0a1 from 03/03
- Android device model/Android OS version: Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (Android 14) and any device
Additional information
The affected wallpapers for each theme are highlighted in the attached image.
The issue is not reproducible with the remaining wallpapers not mentioned/highlighted.
