Environment:
Operating system: Windows 10
Firefox version: Firefox 135.0/136/138

Preconditions:

  • Requires an account with a registered shop/company

Steps to reproduce:
I haven't tested on my own since I do not have a test account with a registered shop/company. But based of my understanding from the original report it should be something like the following:

  1. Go to https://www.shopware.com
  2. Log into your account.
  3. Access the CMS editor.
  4. Add a link to a word inside the editor.
  5. Observe the behavior.

Expected Behavior:
The link is added correctly.

Actual Behavior:
The link is added but there are other fomatting happening inside the document/editor. (space between words getting removed, line breaks...)

This is probably some contenteditable thing, although this is hard to diagnose ourselves without having access. We could try to reach out and ask for help or a demo account. It would be good to know if they're using an editor library, or something custom.

Yeah...we need a way to test this out.

I am adding webcompat:blocked to reflect that. (feel free to correct me!)

Thanks for your support!

The website https://www.shopware.com/en/ offers "request a demo" in the top right corner.

Maybe that's what we can use to gain access?

Also, on https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/149388, sv-calin said he was able to reproduce the issue:

https://snipboard.io/qhgtQE.jpg

I just requested a demo, let's see if that works :)

I see sv-calin said It will be hard for us to diagnose without having an account but I've moved the issue to Bugzilla for further investigations, so It doesn't look like they was able to reproduce.

Thanks, Sean!

Looking forward to it. :)

Well, take a look at https://snipboard.io/qhgtQE.jpg.

Not sure why Calin changed his mind.

Not sure why Calin changed his mind.

We use an add-on to move the issue and it has an automated response, thats why I've edited the comment.
