Preconditions
- Have the pref ‘browser.contextual-password-manager.enabled’ set to true
- Have the Passwords sidebar opened
- Have some saved logins
Tested platforms
- Affected platforms: macOS 14, Windows 11, Ubuntu 22.04
- Unaffected platforms: none
Steps to reproduce
- Click the "Edit" button for any saved login
- Open a new window (Ctrl+N/Cmd+N) and click the "Edit" button for a different login than the one in step 1
- Press the "Save" button and observe the behavior
Expected result
- The "Edit password" from should remain open in the first window
Actual result
- The "Edit password" from is dismissed in the first window when saving a different login in the second window
Regression range
- Not a regression, as this is a new feature
