No matter how iI have it confiqured it wont trigger in Navigator mode... I have to go into the mail section and click on get mail to get anything. Im not very computer literate but was able to get this to work fine on Netscape 4.7-4.8 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.e-mail 2. 3. Actual Results: e-mail doesnt produce automatic notification/download when in Navigator Expected Results: ?

Tony Hoffer: this bug appears to be about getting notification while only a browser window is open; as such, it is a duplicate report. Note that, in bug 71105 comment 97, it is noted that this has improved slightly: if you open the mail window alongside a browser window, and then close the mail window, mail checking will continue in the background as long as the browser is open.
