Details

We would like the Github bot on Slack to mention when new commits are made to the repo in the (private) #supplychain-reviews channel

So, the slack app is approved for public repos (which mozilla/supply-chain is) per slack-approval

I can enable the app from the github side - but you'll have to do the slack side of the configuration in your channel.

But first, I need the admin of the repo to signal that they're OK with this change.

:bholley - let me know if this is approved, or if you have any questions.

Read-only notifications SGTM.

So, from the GitHub side, all I can do is install the app in the repo or not - the slack subscription features will be handled in your channels per the docs - https://github.com/integrations/slack#subscribe-to-an-organization-or-a-repository

Should I go ahead and install the app?

I think so! Will let Tom confirm.

Yes, I will set up the notifications in Slack

Great - Buttons have been clicked from the GitHub side. Let us know if there's anything else you need.
