Steps to reproduce:

Open several tabs, as you do, have some audio running in at least one tab. When this happens, the tab in the tab bar displays a speaker icon, which is fine in itself, but leads to the tab resizing and thus a potential target you want to click on to shift. (Especially annoying with intermittent audio, like lichess.org playing a short sound when your opponent makes a move.) Bad UX IMHO. (Like web sites that resize while loading ads...)

Expected results:

Tab size should stay constant.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Audio/Video: Playback

Component: Audio/Video: Playback → Tabbed Browser
Product: Core → Firefox

In about:config, do you have browser.tabs.tabMinWidth set to any non-default value?

In the original bug report you linked (1943016) - where I'm not allowed to comment - it says, and I quote:
This is actually by design.
And the bug is marked as wontfix.
Very, very bad choice, if you ask me. You should not randomly shift tap targets that the user relies on. How this can be "by design" I can only wonder...
