It is confusing that the bar for warnings and such is above the sidebar, and the bar is hidden when switching tabs and then the sidebar moves up a bit.

What would you expect to happen? We can't have the sidebar overlap notifications like that. We could potentially have the warning overlap the sidebar.

I would expect the warning to have the same width as the content in the tab.
