and switch to polish language.

Actual results:

Then you will see.

In addition, in my mail recommendation from Yahoo in english was:
"RECOMMENDED FOR YOU"
in polish:
"ZALECAMY ZALECZYDOWANE dla Ciebie "

Expected results:

In the first case should be:
"wcześniej lub później".

In the next should be:
"REKOMENDOWANE DLA CIEBIE"

and switch to polish language.

Switch how? Is this about the Firefox Translation feature?

Hi Francesco,
I don't have much experience with posting bugs in Bugzilla (it's my first).
If I see correctly, you've added two words about what it concerns.
Thanks, best regards,
Maciej

I have new, not so good translation examples. Also with a non-existent word in Polish.

English version:
The doc, described as a “real-time crime thriller set in a war zone,”

Firefox translation with errors and "new" word "serecistowski":
Lekarz, opisany jako „serecistowski thriller kryminalny w czasie rzeczywistym osadzony w strefie wojny”

Google translation:
Dokument, opisany jako „thriller kryminalny w czasie rzeczywistym rozgrywający się w strefie wojny”,

And the main question: Can I add more examples here or should I create a new ticket for each of them.

Greetings,
Maciej

Hi there,

Unfortunately, translations from English to Polish constantly produce errors, which consist of providing words in the translation that do not exist in Polish. These are some combinations of fragments of words that may come from Polish, but created in this way is not a proper translation.

I have the impression that the system, at least in English-Polish translation, does not do its job well enough.
Nevertheless, I wish you good luck in your further work.
Regards,
Maciej

Polish definitely needs to be retrained at this point, and it's exhibiting signs of word invention which means we probably need to release a larger sized model to handle the language. This work is being tracked here: https://github.com/mozilla/translations/issues/891

Thanks for the report!

Oh, and I believe this model is not using some of our new training augmentation techniques, so the all caps text is really hurting the translation quality.

Hi Greg,

I'm glad there's a chance for a better version. It's great that something like this exists at all. I'd love to go back to the original Firefox model.

Good luck, regards,
Maciej
