Steps to reproduce:

The extensions menu freezes or appears as active, even though I have deleted the extension from the list. It reproduces by clicking on install on an extension and we very quickly scroll up to the active extensions and click on one and quickly click on delete.I'm noticing different behavior in Firefox stable 136 and Firefox Nightly 138, in the stable version the extensions menu freezes and in Nightly it appears in the menu as active, even after we hit delete.

Actual results:

Extensions menu remains stuck or appears active after deletion, depends on version

Expected results:

The extensions menu should not block or appear as active in the menu after we delete it.

Sounds like two different problems: the menu freezing in Firefox 136 and the menu still showing the extension after trying to remove it in Firefox Nightly 138.
