User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 SKy active a subscription service which allows users to see sports highlights or download them. The service is password protected. I can go up to the point where it requests the password/ userid. when I submit the data mozilla comes up with a message to say "Javascript Application" - "please wait for login page to finish loading". This is not a problem with IE 5.5 or above. Who wants to IE anyway ?? Please fix this so I can use good old Mozilla. Thank you, Nalin. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go http://msn.skysports.com/skysports/splash.html 2.Enter your login details 3.Voila !!!!! Actual Results: I can't login Expected Results: Allowed me to login and use the service. This may not be bug. But I have some experience in the IT industry as an IT manager. This looks like a bug to me and not a setting related issue. Please correct me if I am worng. I AM NEW TO MOZILLA
There is a problem with the page and its use of javascript to access an ActiveX control. Mozilla doesn't support ActiveX by default - but even with the plugin http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/plugin.htm the page will not work.
should we close that one as resolved/wontfix?
Peter's right. This site (surprisingly enough, run by Microsoft) involves IE-specific technology like ActiveX and non-standard JavaScript. Since Mozilla is committed to supporting W3C standards, it is unlikely that such sites will ever work. I realize this probably isn't what you wanted to hear, but I'm going to resolve this as WONTFIX just because the developers, as far as I know, have no intention of supporting ActiveX.
