The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Fenix::General' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I was unable to reproduce this issue on Firefox Nightly 139 (2025-04-01), Firefox 137 beta 1 and Firefox 137 on Samsung S24 Ultra (Android 14) and Realme C35 (Android 11).
When the "Delete browsing data on Quit" option is enabled in Settings, a "Quit" option is added at the end of the main menu. Selecting it automatically closes the app and clears the browsing data.
What issue are you exactly encountering? The "Quit" button is not displayed or the app is not closed when tapping on "Quit".
In order to further look into the issue you're experiencing, could you please provide us more details about your environment where this issue was observed on:
- device model
- Android version
- Firefox version
- attach a short video with the bug
Thanks!

the problem is the Quit function is completely missing from Firefox. There is no way to Quit from within the app, only via System>settings>App managment>firefox>force stop.

Could you please check the state of the "Delete browsing data on Quit" option from Settings? The "Quit" menu option is displayed only when "Delete browsing data on Quit" setting is enabled.

thanks, that fixed it. Seems weird one can only quit with delete all data enabled. What if one wants to quit Without deleting data?

Glad you made it. Your data will not be deleted if you send the Firefox for Android app in the background and close it from the recent apps, regardless of the "Delete browsing data on Quit" setting value.
