Created from https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/151291

The QA team does not have a 4k display device, but we have moved the issue, as this might be something worth investigating with the requested set-up.

Looking at the screenshot in the github issue, the most obvious issue is that the bottom-right video controls are missing -- the icons for autoplay on/off, closed-captioning cc, the cog settings-icon, and the fullscreen/etc buttons are all missing from the control-bar at the bottom of the video.

The reporter mentioned that the video content itself is also clipped: that's harder to tell just from the screenshot, but the video here is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wndB7w8OvRY , and if I view the video and seek to ~1 second in, I can see the map that's shown in the screenshot -- and comparing the screenshot to what I see locally, it is indeed clear that the screenshot does show the bottom/right 20% or so of the map being clipped.

I've tried to reproduce these forms of clipping, but so far can't. My Dell XPS does have a 4K display (3840x2400) -- I tested there on Win11, with the screen at that maximum resolution, with a variety of pixel ratios set in the Windows settings -- 100%, 125%, 150%, 175%, 200%, 250%. I tested that exact YouTube video in Firefox Nightly 138 as well as Firefox release 136.0.2, while signed in to YouTube (as the reporter was). I was not able to reproduce the clipped video-content nor the clipped video-controls.

Unless someone can figure out how to repro here, I think this might just be INCOMPLETE given that it was an anonymous report with the reporter being the only one who could repro. (Given the prevalence of 4K displays these days and the popularity of YouTube, I suspect we'll get more reports if this is a widespread issue rather than a one-off.)
