I was unable to reproduce this issue on Firefox Nightly 139 (2025-04-01), Firefox 138 beta 1, Firefox 137 and Firefox 136.0.2 on Realme C35 (Android 11) and Samsung S24 Ultra (Android 14) using both back gestures and system button.

Are you still experiencing this issue on the latest Firefox versions?

Yes, I still experience the problem (on latest stable Firefox) and have for months.

This is the general set of steps I have done that always triggers the bug for me:

Open a new page (in this example a Google search page) and search for something.
Click a link in the search results.
Go back to the search results (this works).
Use the Google search box to search for something else.
Click a link in the search results.
Go back and observe that it goes back to the original search results, not the last page.

totally agree. Follow the steps and got the same bug.
BTW i am trying on 136.0

seems that 135.0.1 is ok, can you confirm?

I hardly reproduced it once on Firefox Nightly 139 (2025-04-04) on Realme C35 (Android 11) device. No issue encountered on Firefox 138 beta 2, Firefox 137, Firefox 136.0.2 and Firefox 135.0.1

Are you experiencing this bug in each try? Or it is an intermittent one?
Could you please confirm if this bug reproduces also on Firefox 138 beta 2 and latest Firefox Release 137. Thanks!

If the steps are followed that I outlined, the issue occurs with 100% consistency.

Could you please confirm if this bug reproduces also on Firefox 138 beta 2 and latest Firefox Release 137. Thanks!

Issue still occurs on latest 137 release. Nightly/beta versions untested, doubt anything has changed since this has been an issue for months.
