Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:136.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/136.0

Steps to reproduce:

In the mobile version of Firefox, I used the bottom navigation bar and swiped left and right on the tab switcher button (which shows the number of open tabs) to switch between tabs. To close a tab, I tapped and held the tab switcher button until the context menu appeared, then selected "Close Tab."

Actual results:

There is currently no quick gesture to close the current tab directly from the main screen. Closing a tab requires multiple steps: long-pressing the tab switcher and selecting from a menu.

Expected results:

It would be much more efficient if swiping up on the tab switcher button (the one that shows the number of open tabs) could instantly close the current tab. This gesture would provide a faster, more intuitive way to manage tabs.
