Feature Request: Bookmark Categories for Firefox
Actual results:
We need Bookmark Categories for Firefox but We don't have it.
Expected results:
Dear Firefox Team,
I’d like to suggest a new feature that would greatly improve bookmark management in Firefox: Bookmark Categories. This would allow users to switch between different sets of bookmarks based on their workflow.
For example, when working on design projects, I might use a category called “Art” with design-related websites. But when I switch to cryptocurrency research, I could instantly change to a “Crypto” category, without unrelated bookmarks cluttering the bar.
Suggested features:
Quick Category Switcher: A small button in the bookmarks bar (taking the space of one bookmark) to instantly switch between categories.
Fast Add & Remove: A simple way to add or remove bookmarks from categories without navigating deep into settings.
Bulk Edit Option: The ability to delete or modify multiple bookmarks within a category easily.
This would make Firefox even more efficient for users managing multiple workflows. I’d love to see this implemented!

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Bookmarks & History' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

We are unlikely to create this feature because it has quite complexity, but we are working on easier profile switching, that will allow to have multiple profiles running at the same time and switch between profiles with a few clicks. We think that provides a better separation of concerns than just replacing bookmarks on the fly.
