For a few days now, line breaks have no longer been sent in emails. They are visible when composing the emails, but no longer with the recipient or in the Sent emails.

This note may be important: I have deactivated the setting “Use ‘Paragraph’ format instead of ‘Normal text’” in the Thunderbird settings under “Compose”.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to “Extras” > “Settings” in Thunderbird
  2. Select “Compose” and deactivate the checkbox “Use ‘Paragraph’ format instead of ‘Normal text’”
  3. Compose a new message with several lines in Thunderbird and send it with CTRL+Enter.

Result

The recipient receives the message without a line break. If you look under the sent e-mails and read the sent e-mail, it is also without line breaks.

Expected

The e-mails should contain line breaks if new lines have actually been started in the e-mail.
