[Prerequisites]:

• Have the latest version of the Firefox Nightly 139.0a1/Firefox Beta 138.0bx DE build installed/extracted and opened.
• Have a VPN client set to the corresponding region.
• Have the following prefs set in the “about:config” page:
• ‘browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.asrouter.devtoolsEnabled’: ‘true’;
  • ‘browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.discoverystream.endpoints’: ‘https://getpocket.cdn.mozilla.net/,https://firefox-api-proxy.cdn.mozilla.net/,https://spocs.getpocket.com/,https://merino.services.mozilla.com/,https://ads.mozilla.org/,https://ads.allizom.org/’;
• ‘browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.unifiedAds.endpoint’: ‘https://ads.allizom.org/’;
  • ‘browser.search.region’ set to ‘DE’.

[Steps to reproduce]:

1. Restart the browser and open a new tab.
2. Click the wrench icon from the bottom right side of the New Tab page.
3. Click the "IAB Banner Ad Sizes" section to collapse it then enable the “Enable IAB Medium Rectangle (MREC)”.
4. Click the “Refresh Cache” and open a New Tab.
5. Observe the text displayed on the Medium Rectangle ad.

[Expected result]:

• The “Sponsored” label and the title text are localized.

[Actual result]:

• The text is not localized.

[Notes]:

• The Contextual menu options of this card are localized.
• This issue is reproducible on both grid cards and sections layouts.
• This issue is not reproducible on the Billboard and Leaderboard banners.
• Attached is a screenshot of the issue.

This is not a bug - these are test ads from the development server and they are not localised or targeted to a specific region.
