4 years ago we added a warning for when the user closes the last private tab and there are downloads in progress - matching the same UX from desktop.
Seems like this does not cover the cases where the last private tab is closed from the tab counter menu shown in the address bar or the navigation bar.
Steps to reproduce
- Have just one tab opened in private mode
- Start a download (big enough to ensure it will remain in progress as you continue with the next steps)
Can use https://www.thinkbroadband.com/download - Long click on the tab counter button to open a menu with more options related to tabs
- Click on the "Close tab" button
Expected behavior
See a dialog asking on whether to abort closing the last private tab or cancel in progress downloads.
Actual behavior
The last tab is closed and in progress downloads are cancelled without warning.
