Found in:
Beta 138.0b6
Affected versions:
Beta 138.0b6
Tested platforms:
Affected platforms: macOS 13.2.1, Windows 11
Preconditions:
Ensure that the pref "browser.profiles.enabled" is set to true in about:config.
Steps to reproduce:
- Set the OS theme to "Dark" and create Profile 1 using the "system theme". Observe that the avatar background color is 'Dark' for Profile 1.
- Create Profile 2 using the "system theme". Observe that the avatar background color is 'Dark' for Profile 2.
- Close all Profiles(Quit).
- Change the OS theme to "Light" and open the profile created above.
- Go to the 'Profiles' panel from the hamburger menu and observe the avatar background color for Profile 1 and Profile 2.
Expected result:
The avatar background color should be 'Light' because the OS theme was changed to 'Light' in step 4.
Actual result:
The avatar background color remains 'Dark', since the profile was created with the system theme when the OS theme was set to 'Dark' on step 1.
Regression range:
It's not a regression.
Additional Notes:
I only noticed this issue after creating at least two profiles using the system theme, then quitting all profiles, set another OS theme and reopening them.
