Details

The git-hg-sync service will push tags from Git to Mercurial by creating new commits on a Mercurial tags branch, since Git doesn't create new commits for tags but Mercurial does. We will need to create this tags branch on Mercurial repos that will be landed to via git-hg-sync.

shtrom discussed this with glandium, and we have decided to create the branches in the git-hg-sync service using git-cinnabar, to ensure the service is happy with the state of the branches. shtrom has a patch up and ready to go, and has tested this against a test repo.
