Steps to reproduce:
Have the sidebar toggle enabled in the top menu (toolbar)
Open the sidebar.
Right-click within the sidebar and select "Close Sidebar"
Actual results:
The icon to toggle the sidebar from the top menu (toolbar) does not update it's true/false value.
Expected results:
When the sidebar is closed from it's context menu, the sidebar toggle button in the top menu (toolbar) should have it's state updated to FALSE.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Sidebar' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Thanks for reporting! It looks like "sidebar.visibility" is set to "hide-sidebar" and you're using horizontal tabs. In this mode the button won't change appearance. It has a different state when the sidebar launcher is collapsed versus expanded, but if hidden will show the "collapsed" icon (an empty/square looking icon impacted discoverability and was ambiguous).
