User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:137.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/137.0

Steps to reproduce:

Using Mac MiniSelected folder on icloud IMAP mail account and dragged it to new location(another icloud account) and the folder was incorrectly shown as a subfolder of another.
I then moved it again to get itplaced correctly in the new location and TBird starting unsubscribing me from previously selected subscribed folders. ALL of the selected folders I had subscribed too were marked as deselected in the subscribe section of the new email account.

Actual results:

All subscrubed mail folders were marked as un subscribed and some filters were removed from filter listing.

Expected results:

If the folder was moved from an IMAP account to another IMAP account it should have automatically been subscribed. Nothing should have ben deleted from the filters, only the entry should have been marked as non-operational.

Maybe related to bug 1954683?

I'll look at it.
Reporter Hylton,
How is your advanced server setting "Show only subscribed folders" set, checked or unchecked?
It is found by right-clicking the account on main screen, choose "Settings", choose "Server Settings", click "Advanced" button.
If it is select/checked, probably not related to bug 1954683.

Selected folder on icloud IMAP mail account and dragged it to new location(another icloud account) and the folder was incorrectly shown as a subfolder of another.

Hylton, I only have one icloud account but copied a folder from non-icloud to icloud account using d&d (held ctrl since didn't want to actually move the folder) and it worked OK.
Is it possible when you dragged the folder that your aim was a bit off and it went into the wrong folder?

I then moved it again to get it placed correctly in the new location and TBird starting unsubscribing me from previously selected subscribed folders. ALL of the selected folders I had subscribed too were marked as deselected in the subscribe section of the new email account.

I intentionally copied a folder from non-icloud to the wrong place in icloud acc't under another folder. I then moved it to the top level. Everything remained subscribed and visible, even with "show only subscribed folders" unchecked.

When you tried to move the folder to the correct place did the folders that became unsubscribed remain visible and usable or did they disappear in the folder tree, maybe until you re-subscribed them?

some filters were removed from filter listing

Maybe a side-effect of folders getting unsubscribed. If you re-subscribe the folders (using right-click the account, choose Subscribe...) do the filters show again? Maybe needs a TB restart or at least a collapse/expand of folder tree at the account level to re-discover the folders.

Still need to know your setting for advanced server setting "Show only subscribed folders". Is it checked or unchecked?
Thanks.

This was resolved by storing a local copy of server IMAP folders locally and also NOT just showing subscribed folders. Personally I think IMAP should not have the ability to 'subscribe' to folders, they should all show and be polled for their respective contents.
