Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to settings -> about Firefox
  2. Tap the logo 5 times
  3. Go back to settings and in the hidden settings category that now appeared, enable Unified Trust Panel
  4. Visit http://bankofamerica.com.evil.com
  5. Click on the padlock in the toolbar and open the Unified Trust Panel
  6. Notice that the domain name is trimmed. In my case bankofamerica.com. is displayed.

Expected behavior

The full domain name should be shown like in the old trust panel. It can display domain names across several lines.

Actual behavior

The domain name in the Unified Trust Panel is trimmed. Since the omnibox also displays only the beginning of the URL, it's very difficult to find the domain name of the website that is being visited. That's very problematic because confirming the domain name is a key step in determining a website's legitimacy. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1812898 could help with that, but it won't cover all use cases.

Device information

  • Firefox version: 139
  • Android device model: Xperia 5 V
  • Android OS version: 15

Any additional information?

Can I split website info and connection security into two separate rows? I think that it would be the best way to solve this issue and would also solve https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1962336
