Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4.5; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030211 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4.5; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030211 Bookmarking a local directory like file:///F:/data/ is impossible. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Surf to a directory like F:\data 2.Drag a bookmark onto the personal bookmar bar 3.Click on the created bookmark Actual Results: The bookmark on the personal bookmarks opens a drop down menu containing all files in the directory. Expected Results: Open the (correct!) URI specified in the bookmark in the browser window. This may by some kind of feature, and I understand it may be useful to some people to use this to structure bookmark files. But on the other hand, file:///F:/data/ is a valid URI that should be accessible by bookmark. If you do this with a directory that contains a huge quantity of files and folders, you may end up with 100% CPU load a screen full of drop down menus. Also, the behaviour of the three "open" dialogs when right-clicking is inconsistent. 1) Open opens the drop down menu 2) Open in New Window creates a new window containing the directory 3) Open in New Tab creates a new tab that contains the directory. This inconsistency IMHO needs fixing, and if the drop down menus are some kind of feature, maybe it should get a new name and a proper place in Manage Bookmarks. Creating a bookmark with an URI should open that URI.
