Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 14.6; rv:136.0esr) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/136.0esr

Steps to reproduce:

I want to type input, say a new url in the address bar

Using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:137.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/137.0

Actual results:

The input doesn't go into the intended target field. Instead, it goes somewhere else, e.g. in a file search for my window manager

Expected results:

The input is supposed to go in the target field that has focus.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Widget: Gtk
Product: Firefox → Core

The problem occurs in Firefox only, so it is unlikely the bug is in the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component

Can you please create a screencast of it?

Widget:Gtk is correct component, it covers bug of Firefox/Gtk integration.

Looks like making a screencast solved the problem, so I cannot create a screencast of the issue.
