User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 MultiZilla/v1.1.18
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 MultiZilla/v1.1.18
I have several windows open on my system that have "transparency" set to 10% or
greater. When I go to the http://www.hackinthebox.org/ site those windows flash
repeatedly. No other windows flash. This does not happen when I use IE to go to
this site. There is a feature on this site that is named "HITB Top Stories for
Today". This feature scrolls a list of links. When the cursor is hovered over
this list the list stops scrolling. When I hover my cursor over the list the
list stops scrolling and the flashing windows stop flashing. So, it must have
something to do with this scrolling list.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have one or more windows open with "transparency" set
2. Open Mozilla and go to http://www.hackinthebox.org/
3. Watch the windows, with "transparency" set, flash repeatedly
4. Hover your cursor over the "HITB Top Stories for Today" feature of the
hackinthebox.org site and see the list stop scrolling and the flashing windows
stop flashing
Actual Results:
The transparency windows flashed or stopped flashing depending on whether the
cursor was over the "HITB Top Stories for Today" feature.
Expected Results:
Mozilla should not have caused the "transparency" set windows to flash.
I am using the default theme.
Windows 2000 or XP must be used to permit the "transparency" feature of windows
to be used.

I don't see the problem with build 2005-0302 trunk nightly of Firefox.
Reporter, what app or utility are you using to make windows transparent? Maybe
it's a problem with that app? I'm using my own test app to make all inactive
windows translucent.
This seems to be fixed now. I am now using:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223
Firefox/1.0.1
The transparent windows do not flash anymore. Thanks for fixing it!

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
