User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210

In the Preferences window, in the "Scripts & Plugins" section,
there is an option to disable allowing scripts to hide the status
bar.

Unfortunately, there are no options to disable hiding the other items
that scripts frequently hide:
- the location bar
- the menu bar
- whatever bar it is that has "Home", "Bookmarks", and the personal toolbar
  buttons

Reproducible: Always

You can do it now by going to about:config and typing dom.disable_window_open in
the filter field. That will give you a list of preferences that you can set to
"true" to block sites from disabling the various UI elements

If the intent here is to provide a /UI/ (Preferences | Advanced |-> Scripts & Plugins => Enable JavaScript for, Browser; Allow scripts to: ...), then you can say this is valid.

Otherwise Comment 3 holds true, & the desired results can be obtain that way, invaliding this bug.
