Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:138.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/138.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Turn on vertical tabs.
  2. Hover over a tab and click to close it quickly.
  3. Turn on the "Expand sidebar on hover" setting.
  4. Hover over a tab.
  5. Move the mouse to the close button and click.

Actual results:

It should be possible to quickly close a tab without moving it around so much (over to the left for the sidebar, waiting for it to expand, then moving it to the right to press the close button).

Expected results:

The method for closing tabs when "Expand sidebar on hover" is enabled shouldn't be so cumbersome.

(Or maybe that setting just isn't for me, and there isn't a way to solve this issue. I understand why the actual behavior could be expected.)
