Steps to reproduce:
Used Thunderbird normally with Windows 11. Setting to compress folders automatically is set. Delete messages large enough to trigger automatic compression.
Actual results:
When an automatic compression is triggered, I get a message saying that a disk error occurred and I should take steps to obtain more free disk space. However, disk space is not a problem and manual compressions never produce the error message.
Expected results:
Automatic compression should proceed invisibly.

I think there are two issues:
#1 shouldn't normally fail
#2 yes for automatic compact, we shouldn't display error message to try later (as the user didn't trigger it to do at that moment in the first place)
