Steps to reproduce:
- On one of my multiple devices that use Thunderbird with the same e-mail account, the "Sent" folder suddenly no longer showed new mails sent on another device.
- I unsubscribed from "sent" and resubscribed to "sent"
- The old messages that were still in that folder fully disappeared on that device and it claims the "Sent" folder is empty, while taking up 140MB of disk space. See screenshot. On the other devices, the folder continues to be not empty.
Actual results:
Sent folder suddenly is empty on one device, despite not being actually empty
Expected results:
Sent folder still works

Did you try Repair Folder?
I did. When I pressed the button, the UI reacted like it normally would for a button press (it visibly went pressed & unpressed) and then nothing else happened. Before that, I tried restarting thunderbird multiple times as well, using "killall thunderbird" to make sure that it really wasn't running anymore. The other folders still work and new messages arrived and showed up in the other folders while I was poking around. It's quite strange.
First, make sure there are no filters being applied in Quick Filter or View/Threads. Next, delete the mbox and msf files, Sent and Sent.msf, from the account subfolder of ImapMail in the profile folder, with TB closed. When TB restarts, a new Sent and Sent.msf are created, and the existing sent messages on the server will download, when the Sent folder is selected (opened).
