I have previously been granted level 3 commit access (see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1824459, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1963694), but upon attempting to land a patch in autoland, I am notified that I require scm_level_3 in order to do so. I believe this permission may have been inadvertently removed as part of my request to have secure bug access revoked (in order to remove the requirement that I use Duo to log in to Bugzilla, as I am no longer an employee).
Hi Sean, the ticket you've attached was scm_level_3 access on a different account, once that account is disabled, access to that account would be removed as well. Were you always able to land a patch using your gmail account because I can't find an LDAP account for leftmostcat@gmail.com?
Hello Sean,
leftmostcat@gmail.com does not exit in the LDAP system. I checked the bugs you added to the description and found the below:
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1824459 - was for granting L3 Commit access for sean@thunderbird.net
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1963694 - was for removing you from the security group so that DUO is no longer required for Bugzilla account. I will check with my colleague and confirm what exactly was done on this.
However, I believe when you have L3 commit access on Mozilla email, it does not automatically get transferred/retained on a personal email. If you never had commit access on leftmostcat@gmail.com, then you will need to request vouches and then we can grant the access.
As per our current commit access policy (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/about/governance/policies/commit/access-policy/) we require two vouches for Level 3 Commit Access from current module owners or peers of code or owners or peers of the "Tree Sheriffs" module.
You can refer to these docs for a list of current module owners/peers: https://firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org/mots/index.html and https://source-docs.thunderbird.net/en/latest/mots/index.html
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Amitabh
