196561 - Mail hangs when attaching file if last attachment was off a CD

The last time I sent an attachment, it was a file off a CD rom.  Now, when I try
to attach a file, it ejects the current CD (CD-B) asking for the last one (CD-A,
which wasn't available for a while).  After inserting CD-A, its spins it up,
then ejects it and asks for CD-B again.  After CD-B is inserted, Mozilla never
responds again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Send an email using an attachment file residing on a CD
2.Change CDs
3.Send another email with an attachment (just try it)

Actual Results:  
The computer hangs.  The mouse responds, but nothing else.  I let the computer
run for about 15 minutes with no change.

Expected Results:  
At some point, I should have had the opportunity to pick a new disk & directory
for the attachment.

This is incredibly annoying.  I'm trying to send out a resume as an attachment.

I'm going to reinstall Mozilla, presumably this will fix it.

reinstall shouldn't fix it. There is a file called "prefs.js" with such a line:
user_pref("mail.compose.attach.dir", "N:\\Programme\\Xitami\\webpages");

You could open the file with a text-editor while mozilla is not running and
delete the whole line.

This bug is targeted at a Mac classic platform/OS, which is no longer supported
by mozilla.org. Please re-target it to another platform/OS if this bug applies
there as well or resolve this bug.

I will resolve this bug as WONTFIX in four weeks if no action has been taken.
