User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030307 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030307 Whilst browsing the web, I find my mouse jumping in random directions while moving it. Sometimes it'll jump in the same direction of my movement, sometimes the opposite, and sometimes a wierd tangent. It is intermittent, and completely random. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Mozilla 2. Browse normally, and use the mouse... 3. Actual Results: Mouse jumps in random directions. Expected Results: Move in the direction I specify at the speed I specify.
I've never seen anything similar, nor heard of it. Are you sure the mouse only behaves erratically when you use mozilla applications? This sounds like a hardware or driver error.
It hasn't done it to me at all tonight on any desktop that doesn't have an open copy of Mozilla on it. I was switching desktops to access GAim, and it NEVER did it on that desktop. It was confined to the one that had Mozilla open, leading me to think it was a Mozilla issue. After getting the same bug for about 5-6 hours randomly, I got a little annoyed with it... And, with my rationale, I thought this was the best place to address it...
*sigh* Well, I just proved myself wrong... The mouse made a gigantic leap while I was playing a game on Desktop 2(Mozilla is on Desktop 1), so it isn't Mozilla related. Marking as Resolved/Invalid.
