Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 1. try doing a mail import from communicator 4.x, it'll complain that it can't find profile. 2. try doing another mail import from outlook express, complains "unable to create folder to import mail into". *i'm running win2k with sp3, using an admin account* 3. back button doesn't respond when pressed... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. at the mail window: menu => tools 2. click on import... 3. follow instructions described in details above... Actual Results: it gives you an error msg (refer to details above) and the back button doesn't work, forcing you to click "finish"
for 1) Do you have NS4.7x installed ?
- How much disk space is available on your system? - What happens in a new profile?
> for 1) Do you have NS4.7x installed ? no i don't... > How much disk space is available on your system? more than enough, that's for sure. (> 20GB) > What happens in a new profile? have not tried... i found a 'work-around' which is very related to what Matti asked. this 'bug' appears when i didn't officially install NS4.7x (i just copy the old NS directory into the "program files" directory, i know i know). i tried installing mozilla 1.2x and still got the same problem. finally, i launched NS4.7x, i can still see my mail, etc, probably after launching NS4.7x(not properly installed, just copied over) windows thinks that i'm now have a new browser, register it. i later install mozilla 1.3b again and it finds it automatically, but i'm still not sure if it'll import mail manually...
Mozilla can impo9r4t NS4.7x profiles only if you have installed it. (Dunno about Mail Import)
1) is bug 63389 2) is bug 142537 3) is duplicate of some bug please limit one bug to each report *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 142537 ***
