I've looked around but I can't seem to see a bug for this. There are things that
look similar (eg. bug 80141) but the problem I'm seeing is Chimera/Camino
specific. It's been a problem for at least 0.6 -> 0.7, possibly back to 0.5 too
(can't remember).

Also, I think this behaviour is specific to tabbed browsing but I haven't tested
it with regular windows.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a page with anchors (eg. a long, single-page FAQ)
2. Command-click on a link that's not at the bottom of the page

Actual Results:
Page opens in a new tab but at the wrong location (usually at the end of the page).

Expected Results:
Opened the page in a new tab at the correct location.

There is an easy workaround: selecting the location bar and pressing enter will
go to the correct place. This makes me think it's a similar problem to bug
80141, except that it only happen on Camino, not on Moz.
Confirming Camino 2003051604 - there are some really strange viewport/painting
things going on here that I'm not seeing in Mozilla
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
I quite often see painting issues with pages opened in new tabs, if the link
points to a relative anchor down in the page. This happens on macintouch
reports, for example. When I switch to the new tab (it opened in the
background), it's blank until I scroll.
perhaps a dupe of the one i just pushed in your direction

dupe of bug 157282?
No, that bug is for anchors that work. This bug is for anchors that don't.
Isn't this a dup of 192930
