User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312 was using moz 1.2.1 for browsing (not mail), ns 7.0 for mail, palm and palm desktop (not for syncing with Ns or Moz). Uninstalled Moz 1.2.1 in preparation to install Moz 1.3. Uninstall hung so stopped by shutdown. *May* have used palmdesktop before uninstall. Installed 1.3. Now palm desktop has lost info about users (startup asks for user, attempts to create user give can't find USERS.DAT. Suspect uninstall nobbled a needed registry entry for palm. Don't wish to sync with moz, just recover diary. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1.start with installed palm desktop, ns 7.0 set up for mail, moz 1.2.1 and palm syncing ok 2.run palm desktop then close it 3.uninstall moz 1.2.1. from control panel. If uninstall hangs reboot 4. install moz 1.3 and use it for mail 5. attempt to run palm desktop Actual Results: palm desktop asks for user (it didn't before). Attempts to create new palm user fail with messages about not finding USERS.DAT Expected Results: not interfered with palm desktop things palm desktop version not available at reporting time because unable to run it to find out - if needed email me and I will look on the cd at home. If its just the registry entry an easy workaround is to publish what the entry should be (as is done with palmsync)
