S.' seems to take < 100 KB on the disk (!?), I don't want its two entries in 'Start > Programs > Mozilla' menu ! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. ((custom) Install Mozilla) Actual Results: 'A. B. P. S.' is "allways" installed: probably because I install Mail&News !? Expected Results: I'd like to be able not to install 'A. B. P. S.' (from the Components selection).

I see this as necessary also. I installed mozilla, and it silently took over my Palm conduits, causing my Franklin Planning Software to be disabled. Install should have a way of warning about this, and allowing the user the ability to have it *not* change the Palm conduits.
Rick: this bug is regarding the mozilla installer creating Start menu shortcuts for the palm sync conduit it installs, not palm sync actually being installed and functioning. The mozilla installer used to launch the palm sync installer that it installs. It no longer does that.

[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401] Bug still there. NB: With v1.4a, the menu path is now 'Start > Programs > Mozilla > Palm Tools'.

[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624] (v1.4rc3) Bug still there. (On W2K) I installed Browser+Feedback only, and did not get the ABPS: I believe the ABPS is currently linked to the Mail&News option...

This was essentially fixed when we moved to SM 2 (custom install, able to de-install the extension etc), however, now we've landed bug 495232 and removed palm sync completely, it is just invalid.
