junk misses klez virus

Hi All,
On the spam web page, http://www.mozilla.org/mailnews/spam-howto.html, it
states that "3. If you've trained it on virus mail, consider disabling the white
listing, watch it catch messages that contain the klez virus".
Problem, if I click on the subject, click on "Tools, Mark selected message(s)
as Junk", then run the "Tools, Run junk controls on selected messages", my
junk icon to for that message goes back off. So, my junk controls are
definitely not catching messages with klez in them. :-( (The sender is
definitely not in my "white" list.)

that isn't how this works. you have to spend a bit of time and mail teaching
mozilla about junk before it could catch such a critter.

My concern was that after I ran junk controls on the message, that junk
controls turned the junk designation back off. In other words, junk controls
had the wrong opinion about whether or not it was actually junk. I do receive
Klez from time to time and have always run junk controls on it. How many times
does junk controls have to see "Content-Type: ... name=border.scr"
and the klez attachemnt before it gets the hint? :-(
On the other hand, junk is getting pretty good at catching mortgage offers. :-)

When it classifies it incorrectly, correct it. After enough iterations, it
should figure it out. As far as I can tell, what's described here is simply
insufficient training, not a but.
