User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030316 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030316 I am using Modern Theme, in my preferences I chose "When Navigator starts up, display Home Page" and I have a Home Page Group. When I want to open a new blank tab and press Ctrl-T I always get the first of of the Home pages loaded. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set Preferences so that Home page(s) is/are loaded after start. 2. Start Navigator. 3. Press Ctrl-t Actual Results: A new tab opens and the first Home page is loaded. Expected Results: Open a blank tab Most often I open a new tab with Ctrl-t when I want to copy and paste an URL from another window/text. When the new tab automatically loads a home page I have to edit the URL bar and I can't just paste the URL.
Sorry, but this is actually deliberate. Someone decided that "When Navigator starts up" shall from now on be interpreted as "Whenever you open a new tab or window". Resolving as duplicate of WONTFIX bug 197610. I suggest you simply avoid the whole preference, and set it to load a blank page on startup instead. Then click the "Home" page button when you want to go to your homepage instead. That one click is way quicker than the continous loading of perhaps thousands of the same homepage during one session.
