Alt-D (give focus to address bar) does not work unless focus has been set to main client area. This is one of the imporpant keys to avoid using the mouse every time.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Mozilla (my default page is blank)
2. Do *not* click on the white client area
3. Try Alt-D - it doesn't work

Actual Results:
Nothing :-)

Expected Results:
Select the url bar. Now I have to grab my mouse and Alt-D is just a good way to avoid that..

i don't know to what extend ALT+D is supported? I know it works in IE, but in
Moz i always use CTRL+L to type a Location
