The Bugzilla Etiquette document has been through a round of feedback from staff and the seamonkey newsgroup, and is ready for posting to bugzilla.mozilla.org. The template itself just needs dropping into template/en/{default|custom}/pages , but we should also add a link to it to the front page. As that's a custom template, I can't provide a patch to do that. Gerv

I suspect myk or dave will end up dealing with this. Gerv

Here it is - etiquette.html.tmpl . Just drop it into template/en/default/pages (or custom, if that's what you are using for totally new custom templates.) Gerv

Checked in - thanks myk. :-) Leaving this bug open as a reminder that a link on the front page is needed. Gerv

I think it would be interesting to point out in this document a suggestion about how to link to bugs: in particular to always write the word 'bug' in front of the number, so that bugzilla can automatically create the link, ie bug 198116 and not only 198116. This way is also better than writing down the complete url, eg http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=198116 as in this other case no tooltip appears. We should also explain how to link to a specific comment (bug 198116 comment 3) or to an attachment.

Such information is best placed in a Bugzilla Users Guide, IMO. Gerv

Well, the etiquette document is not yet linked from the front page. I now have access to mecha, so I'll do that. Gerv
