198173 - Impossible to receive mail because there is no place to fill in account password

User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.2) Gecko/20010726 Netscape6/6.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla 1.3  and  Mozilla 1.2.1

Using Mozilla 1.3  and  Mozilla 1.2.1 (and probably earlier versions also) it is
no problem at all to send mail but impossible to recieve mail. The reason is
that there is no place to fill in the password in the account settings.

Reproducible: Always

this kinda depends on bug 63633

When you get mail, you will be prompt for password. The UI is not avail in the
account settings dialog. This is a bug asking for additional UI. severity ->
enhancement.

No, I will NOT be prompted for a password.
Instead I get an error message like the one I have attached (Alert.jpg).
However, if I use Mozilla Thunderbird 0.3 I will be prompted for a password.
But using the Mail application inside of Mozilla result in an error message.

This may be a dupe of bug 203219, which is fixed on 2003-04-30. Reporter, can
you reproduce the problem with Mozilla 1.4 or later?

I am using Mozilla 1.4.1 still having this problem.

sorry for the spam.  making bugzilla reflect reality as I'm not working on these bugs.  filter on FOOBARCHEESE to remove these in bulk.
