In the linux viewer, load http://w3.mcom.com. (Note layout problems, filed as separate bug.) Click the link that says if your browser doesn't support frames click here, to take you to w3lite. Get a crash with this stack trace: #0 0x4044edc9 in TimerImpl::FireTimeout () #1 0x4044f180 in nsTimerExpired () #2 0x40808b29 in gtk_invoke_timeout_function () #3 0x40808b8c in gtk_handle_current_timeouts () #4 0x40808cc2 in gtk_handle_timeouts () #5 0x40807f33 in gtk_main_iteration_do () #6 0x40807a77 in gtk_main_iteration () #7 0x408078a5 in gtk_main () #8 0x4005f268 in nsAppShell::Run () #9 0x8051c09 in nsNativeViewerApp::Run () I see the crash repeatably when going from w3 to w3lite by clicking on the link. If I load w3lite directly (e.g. from the command line), I don't see the crash, but it never lays out either -- I see a blank window.
I see the same behavior as of today.

I can load both w3 and w3lite fine. It looks at least as good (or bad) as windows - the layer problems you refer to. Other than that I dont see a crash. Marking worksforme.
