User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312
When I initially go to groups.yahoo.com, the website picks up my login ID.
Jumping around to various groups changes my login ID to "Guest" and Yahoo keeps
prompting me for my passwd. After entering the passwd and going to another
group Im prompt for the passwd again.
Didnt have this problem with 1.2.1
No Yahoo settings were change before or after I installed v. 1.3
Checked Cookie Manager and all cookies from Yahoo are accepted.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to groups.yahoo.com
2. Pick a group that you're already subscribe to.
3. Re-enter passwd when prompted
4. Pick another group that you're already subscribed to
Actual Results:
After step 1, "Welcome <username>"
After step 2, "Welcome Guest".
After step 3, "Welcome <username>"
After step 4, "Welcome Guest"
Expected Results:
Should have sent cookie information back to Yahoo.
P.S. Buzilla just re-prompted me for my password while submitting this ticket.

do you accept all cookies? can you try a fresh profile to see if that also has
trouble? thx!
Also check that you allow Javascript to read cookies
(Under Advanced->Scripts & Plugins)
Considering that I havent changed my preferences from 1.21 to 1.3, I doubt it's
a problem there.
Darin: I have "enable all cookies" and "ask me before storing a cookie" on.
R.K.: I have "Create or change cookies" and "Read cookies" checked on.

Birl: can you please try a recent trunk build of mozilla?

WFM 20030312 (1.3).
reporter: I recommend you
a) try a fresh profile to make sure there aren't any legacy prefs that've been
carried over (yes, it does happen)
b) generate a cookie log if you're still having trouble - this might help locate
the problem. see http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=193951#c1 for
instructions
c) try a recent trunk build.
Created a new profile. Could not replicate cookie problem.
However I dont think it's correct to blame the issue on legacy prefs, unless
the pref is from Mozilla 1.2.1. As I mentioned before, this problem occured after
installing Mozilla 1.3, and not with 1.2.1.
I thinking of changing the resolution to "WorksForMe", but I'll you guys decide :)

VERIFIED/WFM;
If you can diff your prefs.js files between the two profiles, I would be
interested in seeing what the changes are. My guess is it is javascript permissions.

Im not sure if I kept the old prefs around.
If I have it, I wont be able to diff until I get home from work.
Any line in particular you are looking for?
