Frequently (but not always) I try to post to a NG and I write my text, spell
check it, press SEND and Netscape asks for EITHER a user ID <OR> a password and
then when I put in the password and click OK, I get an error message, "NNTP
Error" and the mail client closes and I lose my outgoing email.

The system should NOT ask for a user ID or password as I have earlier entered
same and so it should never ask again..  Also:  Why do I have to enter a new
password for EVERY NEWSGROUP with ver 1.3?  This is a large hassle.

Reproducible: Sometimes

News/mail client crashes and no notification is sent to Mozilla

Expected Results:  
Post to the newsgroup.

using 20031003 I wasn't able to reproduce
please try a more recent build
if the bug is still there please reopen this bug

password for every newsgroups has also been fixed

This problem no longer existed as of about 1.5beta
